Having worked in various roles in different industries and studied both in India and the U.S, Nishchint is passionate about ensuring that every student has such opportunities. He has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, a Masters in Business Economics and an undergraduate degree in Economics from SRCC. Nishchint also mentors Social Impact organisations and is a certified Cognitive Coach.

Nishchint has thirty years of experience in the Education, Media and Communications and Private Equity sectors and has led several companies at a senior level both in India and the U.S.

Nishchint has served in the capacity of Director- The Heritage Schools. He was also the Executive Trustee of EuroSchool, a chain of 15 schools. Nishchint has also worked, at the Board level with the Child Education Society, which manages The Bal Bharti Public Schools; a chain of 17 schools across India, educating over 35000 children.

Nishchint was Managing Director at Madison India Capital – A Private Equity fund investing in the Media, Communications, Education and Services sectors. Prior to joining Madison India Capital, Nishchint was President of US Operations at Rediff Holdings, a leading Indian online company. Prior to Rediff, he was COO of Radio Today, where he managed the launch and operations of RED FM.

Louise founded Best Fit Edu in order to provide personalized guidance through the college selection and admissions process.

Louise Borden is an experienced educator with over 25 years working as an ESOL teacher and program coordinator at the primary, secondary and college level. She has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. Louise pursued her undergraduate degree in Russian at Vanderbilt University and obtained her MS Ed. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She is delighted to have built a team of professionals to work with so that each student receives comprehensive services that fit his or her needs. Louise is an associate member of the IECA and WACAC.

Peggy has been teaching English as a Second Language at a community college for almost 12 years. Before that, she had some interesting careers, including Corporate Trainer at Princess Cruises, Spacecraft Scheduler for the European Space Agency at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, and Configuration Specialist at St. Jude Medical. Her true passion was found, however, when she realized her calling to teach English as a Second Language. Peggy studied Art history and Italian language for a year in Florence, Italy. She feels that this commitment connects her teaching to the struggles that her students experience each day – it is difficult to learn a new language! She is so happy she finally found the career that suits her and excited to join Best Fit Edu. Peggy received her B.A in Liberal Studies from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; her TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate from University of California, Los Angeles, Extension; her master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of Southern California. When not teaching, Peggy spends her time searching for information on how to be a better teacher, and easier ways for her students to understand English. She also enjoys baking, and traveling with her husband, Paul.

As an editor, writer, and writing coach with nearly 30 years of experience in academic, education nonprofit, and newspaper settings. She has had a lifelong passion for international cultures and languages, and she understands how to guide writers from the germ of their idea to the finished product. Amy pursued her undergraduate degree in French and English literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz and subsequently received a Master’s in International Journalism from the University of Southern California. After a decade working as a journalist for news organizations including the Orange County Register, Boston Globe, and Monitor Radio, Amy served as communications director for an educational nonprofit organization in Cambridge, MA. In editing their books and newsletter, she coached public school educators to write and publish articles describing their practice. In recent years, Amy has merged her editing experience and interest in all things international as language editor for the prestigious European journal Astronomy & Astrophysics, polishing the scientific and technical writing of non-native English speakers prior to publication of their articles.

Martha Schermerhorn is a professional artist who has exhibited nationally for over 25 years. Her work has won recognition in the form of prizes, grant awards, artist residencies and private sales. She nurtures the artistic skills and talents of others through workshops and classes with adults and middle schoolers, and high school honors art classes as a guest artist. While she pursues photography, painting, and multi-media, three-dimensional art, her passion and principle focus is Artists Books. Schermerhorn holds a certificate in Graphic Arts and a visual arts BS. She makes her home in Rochester, NY and has two adult children.

Sudeshna has been counselling students seeking admission for both undergrad and graduate programmes in foreign and Indian universities for over 2 decades. From MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Georgie Tech, Brown, John Hopkins, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Kings, LSE ,SMU,NTU, NUS(Singapore) to Ashoka , Jindal, SRCC & St. Stephens, she has worked with over a 1000 students across the country. Sudeshna has served as Principal JBCN International School, Mumbai and IBDP Coordinator Ecole Mondiale, Mumbai. She is also an IB Programme Examiner for the past 14 years. She has also been a teacher at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata for over 20 years teaching English and History. Sudeshna is also the author of two textbooks in History and Civics and has won numerous awards in her illustrious 40 year teaching and counselling career.
